Yesterday mistressofmuses shared a beautiful reading tracker from 2025. 

Does anyone else have images of your 2025 goals that you'd like to share?  Did you make a temperature blanket or other project?  Draw a pretty bullet journal page?  Do sketch-a-day for a year?  Photograph a long project in progress?  Share an image or link in a comment, or if it's bigger, you can make a separate post.

In 2025, I did an experiment to test which would last longest on plant labels outdoors: Sharpie Oil Paint Pen, Craft Smart Oil Paint Pen, or Sharpie Permanent Marker. The Sharpie Oil Paint Pen won by a landslide, the Craft Smart Oil Paint Pen is still legible, and the Sharpie Permanent Marker started fading immediately. The pictures aren't fancy, but the results are interesting!

Sharpie's permanent markers used to be a lot more permanent, but I got dissatisfied, which made me wonder what else might work better. So I did science to it!

I sent your post to my housemate who gardens. They said “ I want to send this person money and a fruit basket and a distance card for the next 10 years. THE PEN DISAPPEARING IS SUCH AN ISSUE EVERY YEAR“

I'm pretty sure that's just humor, but on the off chance it's serious, we do have a PayPal account -- there's a permanent button in my DW profile. I mostly use it for the Poetry Fishbowl; next up will be January 6 with a theme of "Short Forms." Prompting is free; nature and science prompts are welcome.

Last year I made liquid fertilizer from comfrey, but didn't get a chance to use it. This year I want to test how well it works as fertilizer, but also if it works undiluted as weed killer. You know how they say too strong fertilizer will burn plants? Sometimes that's a good thing.

I have likes turned off on Instagram (where I share most of my doll photos) so when I started to see everyone's Top 9s, I decided to make a collage of one doll photo from each month:
