Book reading goals!
Saturday, January 3rd, 2026 09:56 pmIn 2025, I read more books than I thought I was going to be able to. (More than I'd managed for many years previous!)
The way I choose to track them is by drawing them into the notebook I use as a habit tracker.
Here is my page for 2025!

I include each book that I read, plus an object from or that represents each book. (It goes chronologically from the bottom left corner, and then snakes back and forth up the shelves to end in the upper right.)
I'm planning to do the same for 2026. :)
Thanks
ysabetwordsmith for suggesting I share.

Date: Thursday, January 8th, 2026 05:23 am (UTC)I don't tend to think that I draw particularly well, and this is one of the main artistic (in terms of visual art) things that I've done for the last couple of years. Many things I do look up references for, and sometimes it does take quite a few tries to get it. I think it's worth giving it a try, if you want to! (It's also a bit nice to have the drawings be so small-scale; some of the stuff is definitely a "suggestion" of what the object is, without having too much detail to get hung up on.)

Go for it!
